The Greater Vancouver Food Bank is BC's largest food bank, serving 27,474 unique clients and 150 community agencies across Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster and the North Shore in FY2024. The organisation distributed 9.3 million pounds of food — 68% fresh produce — and generated total income of $41.6m. A food preservation pilot transformed 80,000 pounds of surplus apples into freeze-dried chips and juice. A new Vancouver distribution centre secured a long-term lease, increasing cold storage by 20%.
