Food Bank of Northeast Georgia serves 15 counties across Northeast Georgia through 230+ member partner organisations, operating from distribution facilities in Athens and Clayton. In 2024 the food bank distributed a record 15.5 million pounds of food, 50% of it fresh or frozen. A new $15 million facility opened in Athens in July 2024. Demand in 2025 is running 30% above 2024 levels. The 2025 Nourishing Neighbors Survey with Athens Wellbeing Project is informing future programming.
