Sports Alive 2024 Impact Report

Sports Alive is a Merseyside-based charity established in 2010, delivering community youth work across the North West through detached outreach, centre-based provision, school-based coaching and one-to-one youth social prescribing. In 2022/23 it worked with 2,500 young people, with 55% female and 20% reporting a disability. Key outcomes include 55% of young people feeling happier and more positive, 65% making more friends, and a 60% reduction in serious violence incidents in the Breck Road Polygon reported by police. The charity's boxing and Kimball programmes have been particularly effective in re-engaging reluctant learners and reducing anti-social behaviour.
