Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is the only charity entirely dedicated to conserving, protecting and enhancing Yorkshire's wildlife and wild places. In 2023/24, the Trust managed 111 nature reserves, restored 4,084 hectares of peatland, planted over 15,000 seagrass seed bags in the Humber estuary, engaged 19,527 people including 9,493 children, and mobilised 1,609 volunteers contributing over 52,000 hours. The Trust has cumulatively restored 42,868 hectares of peat — an area the size of Bradford.
