In2STEM Impact Report 2024

In2scienceUK supports young people from low socioeconomic backgrounds into STEM careers through funded work placements, mentoring and university-access support. In 2024 its In2STEM programme supported 851 students with over 27,000 hours of placement experience, and longer-term UCAS data shows alumni apply to and are accepted onto higher-tariff STEM degrees at high rates.

  • 55% of participants were eligible for Free School Meals and 76% have parents without university degrees
